Four
business owners and managers have volunteered to serve on the Fortuna Business Improvement
Districts Board of Directors. David Warriner of Fortuna Feed and Farm Supply, Sondra
Kirtley of Western Auto Cutters Edge, Don Wennerholm of Holmes Security and Billy
Myers of Fortuna Hardware and Sporting Goods started two-year terms on July 7. The four
new directors join Mony Dreger of Coast Central Credit Union, Shirley Lauritzen, retired
professional and Rhonda Meehan of Six Rivers Property Management as the decision making
body for the district.
Each FBID Board member represents a sector of the Fortuna
business community and in some cases an area or interest in Fortuna. Kirtley will be
representing Retail and the Downtown Merchants Association. Warriner will represent
wholesale and manufacturing businesses and "citywide" businesses on the board.
Wennerholm was selected by the Chamber of Commerce to represent the chamber and
professional/service businesses. Billy Myers will represent the Redwood Village Merchants
and retail businesses.
Board applicants are always needed. To get an application call, fax or email the FBID
office.
